Bavarian outpatient Covid-19 monitor

An interdisciplinary joint project on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Health and Care

After more than a year of the global Covid-19 pandemic, it is clear that people in need of care, their relatives, their nurses and general practitioners are particularly affected by the disease itself, but also by the measures adopted.

  • What helps to provide people in need of care well physically and mentally?

  • What do nurses, relatives and family doctors need?

The Bavarian Outpatient Covid-19 Monitor is intended to provide scientifically sound information on these questions.

The display

The Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care has initiated BaCoM to improve the living conditions of citizens in need of care in the current pandemic.

Scientific data collection should generate well-founded knowledge in order to be better prepared for future pandemics.

BaCoM is a joint project that brings together expertise from the following specialist areas:

  • General medicine

  • Infectiology

  • Nursing science

  • sociology

And that across the three locations:

Munich (LMU and Catholic Foundation University Munich), Erlangen (FAU) and Würzburg (UKW).

The Bavarian Research Practice Network for General Practice (BayFoNet) supports you with more than 240 general practitioner practices.
